04:46 AM EDT, 06/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- J.M. Smucker (SJM) said Thursday it will remove all US Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act-approved colors from its consumer food products by the end of 2027.
The move will affect sugar-free fruit spreads, ice cream toppings, and some Hostess-branded baked goods, the company said.
Most of its current school-focused products are already free of FD&C colors, and plans are underway to stop selling such items to K-12 schools by the 2026/2027 school year, Smucker said.
