09:58 AM EDT, 07/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Joby Aviation ( JOBY ) said Tuesday it will double production capacity at its Marina, California, facility to scale up its electric air taxi operations.

The company said it has expanded the site to roughly 435,500 square feet, which is expected to support production of up to 24 aircraft per year. It also added a new aircraft to its test fleet, advancing its flight test program.

In addition to Marina, Joby's manufacturing network includes sites in Santa Cruz and San Carlos, California, as well as a facility in Dayton, Ohio, where equipment installation is underway and production is expected to reach up to 500 aircraft annually, the company said.

Shares of Joby were up 4% in recent Tuesday trading.
