Joby Aviation Successfully Completes Air Taxi Tests in South Korea

09:00 AM EST, 12/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Joby Aviation ( JOBY ) said Friday it has completed a series of flight tests as part of a South Korean government-backed initiative to promote the commercialization of air taxis.

Joby said it was the first electric air taxi company to complete the test missions, which are meant to demonstrate various flight capabilities.

The transportation company said it was participating in the K-UAM Grand Challenge as part of a consortium that includes SK Telecom, Hanwha Systems, TMAP and Korea Airports.
