Jones Soda Sells Cannabis Beverage Business for $3 Million

09:34 AM EDT, 06/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Jones Soda ( JSDA ) , a craft beverage company that saw its shares drop 16% on Friday, said it sold its cannabis beverage business, including all related cannabis-specific assets under the Mary Jones brand, to privately held MJ Reg Disrupters for $3 million.

The price includes $489,399 in cash and a $2.5-million promissory note.

Jones Soda ( JSDA ) and MJ Reg signed a multi-year exclusive and non-transferrable trademark licensing agreement on June 19 under which MJ Reg can use the Mary Jones brand name in any consumable product containing an emulsion derived from the marijuana plant with tetrahydrocannabinol in exchange for an annual licensing fee.

Shares of the company closed down $0.05 to $0.25 on Friday on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
