JPMorgan CEO Dimon Says He's Placing Lower Odds on Possibility of a Soft Landing
Oct 3, 2024 12:26 AM

02:04 PM EDT, 09/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) Chief Executive Jamie Dimon said he is giving lower odds on the possibility of a soft landing in the US.

"I hope its true, but I'm also more skeptical that inflation is going to go away so easily, not because it hasn't come down - it has - and it can come down more," Dimon told participants at The Atlantic Festival event in Washington on Friday.

Dimon also said the Federal Reserve's Wednesday decision to cut its benchmark lending rate to a range of 4.75% to 5% would have almost no impact on the presidential election.
