02:19 PM EDT, 03/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) said Wednesday that a joint research team hit a quantum computing milestone, realizing Certified Quantum Randomness and making theoretic experiments into real-world uses for a quantum computer.

The company, citing a paper in Nature, said a team of researchers, including from JPMorganChase, Quantinuum, and Argonne National Laboratory, achieved a critical milestone by demonstrating a potential application of a quantum computer.

Randomness has many industrial uses, from solving complex mathematical problems to applications in areas such as cryptography, fairness and privacy, it said.
