JPMorgan to 'Do the Right Thing' on CEO Succession Planning, Dimon Says
May 29, 2024 11:31 AM

02:06 PM EDT, 05/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon said Wednesday that he and the board will "do the right thing" on CEO succession planning, according to a Capital IQ transcript.

"I don't have to hang on to the CEO or the chairman role forever," Dimon said at a conference. "We'll do the right thing when the time comes."

He said the timetable for him to step down was less than five years.

"That could be four, it could be three, it could be 3.5, it could be 4.5, it could be 2.5," Dimon said. "It's up to the board. We've got some great succession."

JPMorgan ( JPM ) shares fell 0.6% in recent trading Wednesday.
