Sajjan Jindal-promoted JSW Energy has been reporting sluggish numbers for the last couple of quarters. However given the low base, the numbers for Q3 are expected to be decent.
The revenue growth is expected to come in at around 13 percent, profit is likely to be up 15 percent, but the margins might decline a bit due to coal price impact on an year-on-year basis.
Power generation is expected to go up by five percent year-on-year to 5.2 BU, but generation at hydro plants could be tepid being an off season.
One will also have to watch out for forex impact as the company has exposure as far as debt is concerned.
Key things to watch out for from management commentary is short-term market prices and overall plan for electric vehicle.
