Jumia Technologies Collaborates With Spiro to Use Electric Bikes for Deliveries in Uganda

08:23 AM EDT, 09/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Jumia Technologies ( JMIA ) said Thursday it is collaborating with electric vehicle firm Spiro to launch a fleet of electric bikes, aiming to reduce emissions and lower costs within its logistics operations in Uganda.

The electric bikes will replace part of Jumia's ( JMIA ) existing fuel-based fleet used for deliveries, the company said.

Spiro also plans to offer favorable rates for Jumia's ( JMIA ) logistics partners to encourage adoption of eco-friendly transport solutons, Jumia ( JMIA ) said.
