June 19 (Reuters) - Europe's biggest food delivery firm
Just Eat Takeaway said on Wednesday it has struck a
deal to offer Amazon Prime members in Germany, Austria
and Spain free delivery of food orders above 15 euros ($16.13).
Just Eat said there were no financial terms to the
partnership which it deemed "mutually beneficial" for both
companies.
The deal marks its first collaboration with Amazon ( AMZN ) in
Europe.
In late May, Amazon ( AMZN ) said its customers in the U.S. can now
order from Just Eat-owned Grubhub directly on its shopping app
and the website, extending a deal that already offers its Prime
members a no-fee access to Grubhub+ membership.
The initial deal between the two companies was struck in
mid-2022.
The collaboration will launch through Lieferando in Germany
and Austria and Just Eat in Spain, Just Eat said.
