Kamdhenu expects royalty income to jump over 33% in FY19

Kamdhenu shares gained after the company's profit more than doubled in the quarter ended June.

Satish Kumar Agarwal, chairman and managing director of the company spoke to CNBC-TV18 about the results and outlook.

Agarwal said that the company expects royalty income for FY19 to increase more than 33 percent, approximately Rs 80 crore.

“In future we are not planning for increase in the royalty but we are planning to increase the volume,” he added.

He further said that by the next three-five years we are planning to double the capacity by franchise route from existing 2.5 million tonne to 5 million tonne.

Talking about paint business, Agarwal said, “In FY19 we are planning for more than 35-40 percent growth to the tune of more than Rs 275 crore.”
