Kane Biotech Announces Peer-Reviewed Publication Evaluating Antimicrobial Wound Gels
Mar 17, 2026 6:21 AM

08:47 AM EDT, 03/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kane Biotech ( KNBIF ) Tuesday announced the publication of an article authored by researchers from Kane Biotech ( KNBIF ) and the University of Manitoba.

The article, published in the peer-reviewed and open access journal Frontiers in Antibiotics, evaluated the role of antimicrobial wound gels. Kane's revyve gel, which was assessed, demonstrated strong activity against antibiotic-tolerant biofilms, which is a major barrier in the treatment of chronic wounds.

"Having our research published in Frontiers in Antibiotics as an open-access article is an important milestone for Kane Biotech ( KNBIF ) as we continue to commercialize revyve across wound and burn care markets," said Dr. Robert Huizinga, interim chief executive.

"This publication reinforces the strength of our technology and supports our mission to bring advanced, biofilm-targeted solutions to patients."
