Kansai Nerolac reported muted Q2 results due to higher dependence on industrial paints than on decorative paints. Decorative paints business though witnessed high double-digit volume growth in the quarter while industrial witnessed negative growth.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Anuj Jain, ED of Kansai Nerolac Paints said that the industrial segment is seeing a pick-up now. He further added that the growth in industrial segment will be directly in-line with growth in auto sales.
“In industrial, specifically in automotive if you see, September SIAM numbers of passenger vehicles had shown good growth. October-November so far whatever has been reported from the auto industry are good numbers. So, all this indicates that there is positivity around,” he said.
Jain also said that he is positive about demand going forward. He further added that Kansai Nerolac has enough capacity to cater the current demand.
