Karman Space & Defense to Expand Production Capacity With New Utah Facility
Mar 11, 2026 7:10 AM

08:56 AM EDT, 03/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Karman (KRMN), doing business as Karman Space & Defense, said Tuesday it plans to open a new facility in the greater Salt Lake City area in Utah to expand its production capacity of solid rocket motor nozzles and launchers for unmanned aerial systems.

Financial details of the new facility were not provided.

Karman said it has also invested over $15 million to expand production capacity at its existing manufacturing facilities over the past 12 months.

The figure is apart from its $5 million investment that matched a similarly sized funding in October 2025 by the US Department of War under the Defense Production Act Title III to boost solid rocket motor nozzle production, the company said.
