Kennametal Fiscal Q3 Earnings, Sales Decline; Fiscal 2024 Outlook Narrowed

09:20 AM EDT, 05/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Kennametal ( KMT ) reported fiscal Q3 earnings Wednesday of $0.24 per diluted share, down from $0.39 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.29.

Sales for the quarter ended March 31 were $515.8 million, down from $536 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $518.2 million.

The company said it now expects fiscal 2024 adjusted EPS of $1.40 to $1.55 on sales of $2.03 billion to $2.05 billion. That compares with its prior guidance of adjusted EPS of $1.35 to $1.65 and sales of $2.02 billion to $2.07 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect normalized EPS of $1.48 on revenue of $2.05 billion.
