Bengaluru-based Kirloskar Electric Company Ltd on Monday (November 20) said the company has officially lifted the lockout at its Unit No. 15 located in Bhudihal, Nelamangala taluk, Bengaluru.

The management announced the end of the lockout, effective November 20, 2023, at 6.30 am, signalling a return to normalcy for the company, Kirloskar Electric Company said in a regulatory filing.
"...this is to inform that, the management has withdrawn the lockout at the Company’s unit no. 15 situated at Bhudihal, Nelamangala taluk, Bengaluru Rural District with effect from November 20, 2023, at 06:30 AM and has requested all workmen through labour union to report to work," the company said.

The decision comes after a period of uncertainty and disruption, during which the company engaged in regular interactions with the labour union and relevant authorities to address the issues leading to the lockout.
On October 16, 2023, Kirloskar Electric Company had announced the lockout at its Unit No. 15 due to alleged non-cooperation by the workers at the facility.
Shares of Kirloskar Electric Company Ltd ended at ₹121.25, down by ₹3.75, or 3.19%, on the BSE.
