12:14 PM EST, 01/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- KKR (KKR) is facing a civil lawsuit from the US Department of Justice for allegedly disregarding the premerger antitrust review process repeatedly, the DOJ said Tuesday.

The complaint filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York accuses KKR senior executives, deal teams and investment funds of failure to comply with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act on at least 16 separate deals between 2021 and 2022.

KKR didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
