07:38 AM EDT, 07/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- KKR (KKR) said Monday it has agreed with the investment arm of Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan to jointly lead a $140 million Series E financing round of SmartHR, a human resources management platform in Japan.

In addition to KKR and Teachers' Venture Growth, SmartHR's existing shareholders also participated in the round.

SmartHR will use the funding to accelerate its growth, "including through the development of new solutions, talent acquisition, and organic and inorganic growth strategies," KKR said.
