Klarna to Support AI-Based Shopping via Stripe Shared Payment Tokens
Mar 11, 2026 6:13 AM

09:49 AM EST, 03/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Klarna ( KLAR ) said Tuesday its payment products will be integrated into artificial intelligence-based shopping transactions through Stripe's tokenized payment framework.

The company said the integration will allow its installment payment products to be used in automated purchasing flows where AI agents complete transactions on behalf of consumers.

The token system enables transactions without exposing underlying payment credentials, the company said.

Klarna ( KLAR ) said US merchants that already offer its services through Stripe will not need additional technical work to access the feature, provided AI shopping agents support alternative payment methods at checkout.
