Knight-Swift Transportation Acquires Dependable Highway's Less-Than-Truckload Division

11:51 AM EDT, 07/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Knight-Swift Transportation ( KNX ) said Tuesday it has acquired the regional less-than-truckload, or LTL, division of Los Angeles-based Dependable Highway Express, including certain liabilities.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The freight transportation company expects the transaction to be immediately accretive to EPS. The acquisition also increases its LTL terminal and door counts by about 10% and expands its network's US coverage to roughly 70%.

Shares of Knight-Swift rose more than 2% in recent trading.
