07:33 AM EDT, 09/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AI equipment company Syntiant said Thursday it signed a deal to acquire certain assets of Knowles' ( KN ) consumer micro-electro-mechanical systems microphones business.

Syntiant said it will pay $150 million in cash and equity for the consumer MEM microphones business. The transaction is expected to close in Q4.

Knowles' ( KN ) shares were down 3.6% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
