08:18 AM EDT, 10/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Kobo Resources ( KBRIF ) on Tuesday said exploration drilling into the Jagger zone at its Kossou Gold Project in Cote d'Ivoire showed high-grade gold mineralization.
The company said best results from assays on four holes drilled into the zone included two meters of core testing at 15.99 grams per tonne of gold and 14 meters testing at 1.53 gpt of gold.
Kobo said its 2024 drilling program at Kossou is still in its early stages, with 2,482 meters of 10,000 planned meters of drilling complete as it targets the Jagger, Road Cut, Kadie and Contact zones on the property.
"As we near completion of our base camp and prepare to mobilize a second drill, we are well-positioned to accelerate the pace of our diamond drill program for the remainder of 2024," chief executive Edward Gosselin said in a release.
Kobo shares closed up $0.015 to $0.355 Monday on the TSX Venture Exchange.
