Kootenay Silver Set to Launch Its 2025 Columba Project Drill Program in August
Jul 21, 2025 1:44 PM

04:18 PM EDT, 07/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Kootenay Silver ( KOOYF ) on Monday afternoon said it scheduled drill crews to arrive by the end of July to start its 50,000-meter 2025 drilling program at its Columba Project in Mexico.

The first drill is set to start in early August, followed by a second expected about ten days later, the company said, adding that the initial 25,000 to 30,000 meters of drilling will focus on expanding the size of existing resource bodies in the D, F, and B/Lupe Veins.

"Having just put out our maiden resource of 54 million ounces of silver at Columba at a very good grade of 284 gpt silver, we are now looking forward to this next round of drilling which is focused on increasing the size of the resource," chief executive James McDonald said.

The company also said it is fully funded for this program after recently closing a $20 million bought deal financing.

The company's shares closed up $0.16 to $1.25 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
