Kootenay Silver Up 2.5% As Appoints New Director to Board

03:40 PM EDT, 08/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Kootenay Silver ( KOOYF ) , an exploration company actively engaged in the discovery and development of mineral projects in Mexico, has held on to early session gains and was at last look up 2.5% as it announced Friday afternoon the appointment of Ron Miller as director of the company.

A statement noted Miller has over 30 years of public practice and industry experience, including advisory services for both private and public mining companies. Formerly, Partner & National Leader, Mining Services, Regional Managing Partner with MNP LLP, for over 11 years, he retired in 2021.

James McDonald, president and CEO, said, "Ron brings many years of experience in accounting, mergers and acquisitions for the mining and exploration industry which we look forward to drawing upon as we advance our high-grade Columba discovery and resource projects."

Kootenay Silver ( KOOYF ) shares are up $0.03 or 2.5% to $1.22 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
