09:56 AM EDT, 05/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Koppers Holdings ( KOP ) shares were down over 8% in recent Friday trading after the company posted lower Q1 adjusted earnings and net sales from a year earlier, and cut its full-year 2024 adjusted EPS outlook.
The company reported Q1 adjusted earnings of $0.62 per share, down from $1.12 a year earlier.
A single analyst polled by Capital IQ expected $0.55.
Net sales for the quarter ended March 31 were $497.6 million, down from $513.4 million a year earlier.
A single analyst surveyed by Capital IQ expected $505 million.
For full-year 2024, the company said it now expects adjusted EPS to be in the range of $4.10 to $4.60, down from its prior forecast of $4.60 to $4.80. Two analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $4.62. Sales for the year are expected to be roughly $2.25 billion, unchanged from its previous outlook. Two analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $2.25 billion.
