08:38 AM EDT, 09/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Galaxy Digital ( GLXY ) said Wednesday its GK8 digital asset platform was selected by Korean digital asset custodian BDACS as its custody technology provider to support its institutional offering.
Galaxy said BDACS will use GK8's custody architecture to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable custody services to Korean institutions.
The platform will also integrate with Galaxy's validator infrastructure to enable institutional staking and will leverage GK8's tokenization tools for the issuance and management of tokenized assets.
"Institutions in Korea are demanding custody technology that is both secure and built for scale," GK8 co-founder and chief executive officer Lior Lamesh said.
"By choosing GK8, BDACS is giving its clients the strongest possible foundation - combining ironclad security with institutional-quality governance and full regulatory alignment."
Galaxy shares jumped 10% Tuesday to close at $36.84 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
