07:35 AM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (KTOS) and Airbus said Friday they are making progress on an integrated uncrewed combat aircraft offering for the German Air Force and towards a first flight with a sovereign European mission system.

The project will combine Kratos' Valkyrie with Airbus' mission system, to provide "a proven flying uncrewed combat aircraft with a sovereign European mission system that does not have to be developed from scratch in a time-consuming and costly manner," said Marco Gumbrecht, an official at Airbus Defence and Space.
