10:03 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (KTOS) and GE Aerospace (GE) said Tuesday that the companies have started altitude testing on the GEK800 small engine.
The testing began on Tuesday at an altitude test facility at Purdue University's Maurice J. Zucrow Laboratories in West Lafayette, Indiana, the companies said.
The GEK800 is an 800-lb jet engine that could be used to power unmanned aerial systems, collaborative combat aircraft and missiles, the companies added.
