Kratos Wins $68.3 Million DoD Contract to Build Hypersonic Materials Testing Center

10:06 AM EDT, 10/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (KTOS) said Thursday that it has won a Department of Defense contract valued at $68.3 million to design and build a hypersonic materials testing facility.

The facility will provide testing infrastructure for thermal protection systems used in hypersonic vehicles, the company said. It added that it expects the facility to "dramatically increase opportunities for material evaluation in support of both hypersonic and strategic national defense efforts."

Shares of Kratos were up 4% in recent trading.
