Krispy Kreme Shares Rise After Higher Q2 Net Revenue

09:51 AM EDT, 08/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Krispy Kreme (DNUT) shares advanced by more than 14% in recent Thursday trading after the company reported higher revenue in Q2.

The donut maker reported Q2 adjusted earnings of $0.05 per diluted share, down from $0.07 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.05.

Net revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $438.8 million, up from $408.9 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $434 million.

The company said it updated its 2024 guidance to adjusted diluted EPS of $0.24 to $0.28 on net revenue of $1.65 billion to $1.69 billion solely to reflect the sale of a majority stake in Insomnia Cookies that closed July 17.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect normalized EPS of $0.27 on revenue of $1.78 billion.
