Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen Resigns After Probe Into Personal Conduct

07:17 AM EST, 03/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Kroger ( KR ) said Monday that Chairman and Chief Executive Rodney McMullen has resigned after a probe by the company's board of directors found his conduct "was inconsistent with Kroger's ( KR ) Policy on Business Ethics."

The company said its board named lead director Ronald Sargent as interim chairman and CEO, effective immediately. It also said Mark Sutton has been named Kroger's ( KR ) lead independent director, also effective immediately.
