10:46 AM EST, 12/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Kroger ( KR ) said Monday it has extended the deadline for its offers to exchange outstanding Albertsons Companies ( ACI ) notes for up to about $7.44 billion in new Kroger ( KR ) notes and cash.

The company said it also extended the deadline for related consent solicitations, which aim to make certain amendments to the Albertsons ( ACI ) notes indentures, but only for the unconsented series.

The new expiration date is 5 p.m. New York City time on Dec. 9, up from the previous deadline of Dec. 3. These offers are contingent on the completion of Kroger's ( KR ) merger with Albertsons Companies ( ACI ), the company added.

Shares of Kroger ( KR ) fell past 2% and Albertsons Companies ( ACI ) was down nearly 2% in recent trading activity.
