Kroger Partners With Bitewell for Nutrition Scoring System

01:18 PM EDT, 11/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Kroger ( KR ) has entered into a partnership that will bring bitewell's nutrition scoring system to Kroger ( KR ) customers nationwide to help them assess the healthfulness of their food, the companies said Friday.

The system, called FoodHealth Score, rates foods based on nutrient density, ingredient quality and other factors, the companies said.

They said Kroger ( KR ) customers can view an item's FoodHealth Score while shopping online, within the Kroger ( KR ) app, or in-store by scanning its universal product code.

Kroger ( KR ) shares were up 1.3% in recent trading.
