Kura Sushi USA Fiscal Q3 Revenue Set to Miss Guidance; Shares Sink After Hours
Jun 27, 2024 1:50 PM

04:26 PM EDT, 06/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Kura Sushi USA ( KRUS ) said late Thursday that preliminary data show fiscal Q3 sales will be about $63.1 million.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $65.6 million.

Comparable restaurant sales will likely grow 0.6% year over year.

Restaurant-level operating profit, a non-GAAP measure, will probably be 20% of sales.

The financial results "did not meet our expectations due largely to unanticipated softness in the California market," Chief Executive Hajime Uba said.

Shares of the company slumped nearly 16% in after-hours activity.

Price: 69.50, Change: -12.89, Percent Change: -15.65
