02:52 PM EDT, 08/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- L3Harris Technologies ( LHX ) said Wednesday that it has opened a new 50,000-square-foot maritime production facility at ProvPort in Providence, marking the completion of a $6 million investment.

The facility will design and manufacture undersea training systems for the US Navy and allied forces, the firm said. It has maintained a presence in Rhode Island since 1991.
