07:09 AM EST, 02/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- L3Harris Technologies ( LHX ) said Thursday it has begun construction on four new solid rocket motor production facilities at its Camden, Arkansas, site.

The company said the expansion is part of a $215.6 million deal between a Department of Defense program to increase domestic rocket propulsion manufacturing capacity.

The new construction will include a 60,000-square-foot facility to centralize production of one program, reducing the distance the motors travel in manufacturing by 80%, the company said.
