11:07 AM EDT, 08/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- L3Harris Technologies ( LHX ) -built advanced Navigation Technology Satellite-3 has launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, the company said Wednesday.

The satellite, launched on a United Launch Alliance Vulcan rocket, is the Department of Defense's first experimental navigation satellite system in almost 50 years, L3Harris ( LHX ) said.

The satellite, once on-orbit, will conduct experiments to mold the future of US space-based positioning, navigation and timing capabilities, according to the company.
