11:33 AM EDT, 03/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Laboratory Corp of America ( LH ) and OPKO Health ( OPK ) on Thursday announced a deal where Labcorp will acquire specific assets from OPKO's subsidiary, BioReference Health.

The $237.5 million acquisition includes BioReference Health's laboratory testing businesses in the US, except its operations in New York and New Jersey, the companies said.

Expected to close in the second half of 2024, the transaction is subject to standard closing conditions, including regulatory approvals under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
