03:02 PM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Lamb Weston ( LW ) said Tuesday it has officially opened a new 40,000-square-meter frozen potato production facility in Mar del Plata, Argentina, to serve customers across Latin America.

The new plant can process 200 million pounds of potatoes per year and produce more than 100 varieties of frozen potato products, the company said. About 80% of output will be exported to Brazil and other regional markets.

Lamb Weston ( LW ) said it is partnering with more than 100 local producers to source raw materials.
