09:03 AM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Lamb Weston ( LW ) said Monday it agreed with Jana Partners Management and Continental Grain to appoint six new independent directors, including Bradley Alford, Ruth Kimmelshue, Timothy McLevish, Scott Ostfeld, Lawrence Kurzius, and Paul Maass, to its board.

The company said directors Charles Blixt, W.G. Jurgensen, Robert Niblock, and Maria Renna Sharpe will step down from their current positions as part of the agreement.

The board will expand to 13 members from 11 by July 11, with 12 directors classified as independent, the company said.

Lamb Weston ( LW ) also said Alford will serve as the new board chairman.

Shares were 1.3% higher in recent premarket activity.
