09:56 AM EST, 11/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Landstar System ( LSTR ) said Friday it has named Matt Miller as its chief safety and operations officer, effective Dec. 1.

Miller succeeds Joe Beacom, who has been appointed as the president of the company's Landstar System Holdings unit and its agent-based transportation services companies, Landstar said.

Beacom has agreed to serve in the new role through yearend 2025 after which he will transition to the role of special adviser to the CEO prior to his expected retirement in Q1 2026, Landstar added.
