Lantronix Working With Unusual Machines For Autonomous Drone Components

08:30 AM EDT, 03/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lantronix ( LTRX ) and Unusual Mechanics (UMAC) said Thursday they have formed a strategic partnership to develop next-generation autonomous drone parts that integrate artificial intelligence computing with flight control systems.

The partnership aims to combine processing hardware and flight mechanisms to enable independent drone navigation and real-time operational execution, the companies said.

Joint development of the modular platforms will begin immediately, with initial demonstrations expected next year, they said.

Shares of the company were up over 10%, and Unusual Machines ( UMAC ) shares were down 1.7% in Thursday premarket activity.
