Aug 6, 2026 11:36 AM

02:24 PM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Largo (LGO.TO, LGO) appointed James Bannantine as co-chief executive officer, it said Thursday.

Bannantine succeeds Daniel Tellechea, who is retiring from the co-CEO role. Tellechea will continue to serve as a company adviser and board member, the company said in a news release.

Bannantine will serve as co-CEO alongside Alberto Arias. Bannantine previously was the CEO of Aura Minerals and Great Panther Mining, Largo said.

"His extensive experience makes him uniquely qualified across multiple critical areas of expertise important for Largo such as, open pit mining operational turnarounds in Latin America, energy sector leadership experience, work for the U.S. Department of Defense as an engineer and contracting officer and operating experience in both the mining and energy sectors in Brazil, where he lived for several years," said Arias.

The company's shares were last seen down C$0.03, or 3%, at C$0.96 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
