Lear Shares Fall After Q1 Sales Slightly Miss Estimates

09:54 AM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Lear (LEA) shares fell 6.4% in recent Tuesday trading after the company reported a slight miss in Q1 sales.

The company reported Q1 adjusted earnings earlier Tuesday of $3.18 per share, up from $2.78 a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $3.07.

Net sales for the quarter ended March 30 was $5.99 billion, up from $5.85 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $6 billion.

The company reaffirmed its 2024 net sales outlook of $24 billion to $24.6 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $24.45 billion. The company also reaffirmed its core operating earnings guidance for the year of $1.16 billion to $1.31 billion.
