09:02 AM EDT, 05/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Leggett & Platt ( LEG ) said Tuesday its board has named Chair Karl Glassman as president and chief executive, effective immediately.

Glassman succeeds Mitch Dolloff, who resigned, the company said.

Glassman served as CEO from 2016 to 2021.

Dolloff will remain as a consultant for one year, the company said.

Shares of the company were up 5% in recent premarket activity.
