04:25 PM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Leonardo DRS ( DRS ) said Tuesday it has been awarded a $117 million order to continue producing its next-generation thermal weapon sights for the US Army under the Family of Weapon Sights - Individual IDIQ contract.

The FWS-I, which uses Leonardo's uncooled thermal imaging technology, is a clip-on weapon sight that wirelessly connects to helmet-mounted systems, enhancing target acquisition day and night in diverse conditions, the company said.
