04:34 PM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Leslie's (LESL) said late Monday it has appointed Jason McDonell as chief executive officer, effective Sept. 9.

McDonell succeeds Michael Egeck, who has departed the company.

Leslie's said McDonell joins the company from Advance Auto Parts (AAP), where he most recently served as executive vice president of merchandising, marketing and e-commerce.

Board Chair John Strain will serve as interim CEO until McDonell assumes the role, the company said.
