DUBLIN, July 23 (Reuters) - Aircraft lessor Avolon said
on Tuesday it had agreed to buy 160 engines from Pratt & Whitney
and 150 from CFM International, with options to buy 310 more in
a deal the Irish firm said was worth more than $5 billion at
current list prices.
The 160 Pratt & Whitney engines and 150 CFM LEAP-1A engines
would be used to power 155 Airbus A320neo family aircraft in
Avolon's order book, the lessor said in a statement after the
deal was announced at the Farnborough Airshow.
