08:46 AM EDT, 10/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Li Auto ( LI ) said Friday it is recalling 11,411 Mega electric vehicles made between Feb. 18, 2024, and Dec. 27, 2024.

The automaker apologized for a fire involving a Mega 2024 model vehicle in Shanghai on Oct. 23, according to a statement that was translated from Chinese.

The company noted that vehicles from that batch had a coolant with insufficient anti-corrosion performance that could cause thermal runaway in the battery in extreme cases.

Li Auto ( LI ) said abnormality of the battery cell itself could be ruled out as a possible cause of the fire.

The company's shares were down over 1% in recent premarket activity.
