LibertyStream Up as Announces Texas Refining Progress, Wins Grant for North Dakota Battery Initiative
Oct 23, 2025 8:02 AM

10:35 AM EDT, 10/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- LibertyStream Infrastructure Partners ( VLTLF ) shares rose 6.3% Thursday after it said that it and North Dakota partner, Wellspring Hydro, was awarded a US$500,000 grant from the State of North Dakota to support the development of in-state lithium carbonate production for future battery cell manufacturing.

The company also said it had initiated site preparation activities by early October in Texas to accommodate its lithium carbonate refining unit. Installation of the field unit is substantially complete, and LibertyStream has officially entered the commissioning phase.

Management expects the refining unit to deliver "consistent, high-quality output, enabling customers to confidently assess product grade and reliability for long-term supply agreements." LibertyStream added that the final confirmation of the ND Grant is scheduled for October 27.

The company said the primary focus of validation of the lithium carbonate testing will ensure that the company can meet the short and long-term product requirements for a battery cell manufacturing facility in North Dakota.

Shares of the company were last seen up $0.03 at $0.51 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
